Meadowhall plates up over 60,000 sq ft of F&B and leisure deals, including regional debut for Wingstop UK

Meadowhall has announced a flurry of F&B and leisure deals, as seven brands invest in over 60,000 sq ft of prime space at the leading UK shopping centre .

  • In a regional first, Wingstop UK has signed for a 4,574 sq ft unit on Meadowhall’s Lower Level Oasis. The brand’s South Yorkshire debut feeds into Wingstop UK’s ambitious expansion plans, with 2025 set to be its biggest rollout of new sites yet.

  • Adjacent to Wingstop UK, Vue has recommitted to Meadowhall, renewing the lease on its 43,304 sq ft site, with extensive refit works underway. The refurbishment will enable Vue to enhance the customer experience through venue modernisation, including the transformation of the concourse and foyer areas.

  • Independent speciality coffee company Bean is investing in two separate spaces at Meadowhall, signing for a permanent 60-seat central mall unit at the entrance to Lower Level Oasis, alongside a pop-up ‘Iced’ concept on the centre’s Upper Level High Street. Bean’s Iced pop-up serves iced drinks including matcha, and is strategically located opposite the recently launched Sephora flagship store.

  • Japanese restaurant concept Maki & Ramen has selected Meadowhall for its regional debut, set to take a 1,846 sq ft space on Upper Level Oasis. Bringing a selection of traditional Japanese ramen and sushi dishes, the restaurant will complement the Oasis’ curated mix of global cuisine.

  • Local operator Suburb has selected Meadowhall’s Upper Level Oasis. Serving up handmade pizza and burgers, Suburb’s 2,791 sq ft site joins its existing Doncaster location.

  • Yorkshire-inspired eatery Harriet’s has taken a prominent 2,412 sq ft kiosk in front of the next-generation Frasers department store. A new concept from the team behind Caffe Rizzoli, Harriet’s will focus on popular local dishes with locally sourced ingredients.

  • Long-term tenant Frankie & Benny’s has also recommitted to Meadowhall, with a deal that will include a refit of its 4,187 sq ft restaurant on Upper Level Oasis.

Richard Crowther, Retail Leasing Director at British Land, said: “Meadowhall’s line-up of over 50 places to eat and drink is a significant reason our visitors choose to return to the destination time and time again. The latest 60,000 sq ft of F&B and leisure deals reflect Meadowhall’s regional dominance amongst shopping centres, continuing to attract investment from international and local brands, be they new or longstanding operators.”

This announcement follows the news that Meadowhall has been revealed as the most dominant super regional shopping centre in the UK, following a ranking of catchment spending metrics by data specialists, CACI. Taking first position, Meadowhall captures 18% of the total purse within its catchment, including online spend.
