From Toulouse to Turin and Tokyo: Gloucester Quays unveils restaurant signings and new arrival
Peel Retail & Leisure has announced the signing of two restaurant concepts at Gloucester Quays, including South West-based concept Muse Brasserie and COSMO Restaurant Group’s buffet concept Umami, as well as the opening of Banchina Italian. All three restaurants are making their city debut, at Gloucester Quays.
Signing for a 3,282 sq ft unit with 100 covers, Muse Brasserie is soon to arrive at the Outlet, following success in Cheltenham and Bristol. The French fusion restaurant will serve a varied seasonal menu with a signature dish unique to Gloucester Quays, a light fish-based option reflecting the site’s proximity to the historic port. In conjunction with the restaurant’s vibrant interiors, the new location will serve as a refined dining option for visitors to enjoy.
In addition, COSMO Restaurant Group’s Umami is set to introduce its elevated world buffet concept, through an all-you-can-eat experience featuring Chinese, Italian, Indian, and British dishes, with additional made-to-order menu items including a dedicated teppanyaki chef station. Umami has signed for 7,263 sq ft and 243 covers, with interiors featuring the brand’s distinctive stonework and marble finishes.
Gloucester Quays has also welcomed the arrival of Banchina Italian. The casual dining restaurant comprises 5,252 sq ft, seating 132 covers including 50 external covers for outdoor dining. The family-friendly eatery features a menu of fresh, premium ingredients and Italian classics, with an open kitchen and Neapolitan pizza oven at its heart. The interiors draw inspiration from the Amalfi Coast, combining natural textures, soft lighting and a modern Mediterranean aesthetic.
Paul Carter, Asset Director at Peel Retail & Leisure, commented: “Securing a trio of restaurant signings at Gloucester Quays, each with a real point of difference, significantly strengthens our hospitality line-up. We are continually evolving our offer to meet customer demand, and these additions further enhance the crossover outlet concept, by providing even greater choice and quality. Whether our guests are looking for a quick bite to eat or an elevated dining experience, there’s something for every occasion.”
Limon Rahman, Founder of Muse Brasserie, added: “Signing at Gloucester Quays was a no-brainer for us. There is a clear demand for the Muse concept in Gloucester, and the combination of outlet shopping, leisure and the historic harbour setting makes it an ideal location for the next step in our expansion. The waterside environment will be perfect for our summertime outdoor dining, whilst our stunning interiors evoke our French fusion heritage, creating a truly all-encompassing experience for guests.”
The restaurant signings will complement the recent opening of Clip n’ Climb, its Gloucester Quays venue occupying 14,000 sq ft and further enhancing the destination’s family-friendly leisure offer.
