Søstrene Grene joining Gloucester Quays for city debut

Peel Retail & Leisure has announced the signing of Søstrene Grene at Gloucester Quays. This marks the debut location for the Danish homewares and lifestyle brand in the city, strengthening Gloucester Quays’ position as a destination that bridges city centre convenience with aspirational outlet shopping.
Located at a key gateway into the centre, off High Orchard Street, the new store will introduce Søstrene Grene’s signature Scandinavian-inspired offer to Gloucester, with a wide selection of affordable homewares, small furniture, lifestyle products, and craft essentials. The interiors will reflect the brand’s distinctive Danish aesthetic, featuring calming minimalism and natural wooden accents.
This signing of Søstrene Grene is an exciting addition to Gloucester Quays, one of only three in the entire Southwest region. It also follows a series of investments into the outlet, including new arrivals such as Card Factory and dozens of renewals completed in 2025, and forms part of Peel’s continued strategy to diversify and enhance the retail line-up at Gloucester Quays.

Paul Carter, Asset Director at Peel Retail & Leisure, commented: “Our emphasis for Gloucester Quays is to create a compelling, ‘cross-over’ destination that feels exciting every time you visit. The signing of Søstrene Grene is particularly special, as a sought-after brand admired across the UK – and reflects the confidence leading international names have in Gloucester Quays as a place to grow. It adds another fantastic option for our visitors and is another step forward in delivering something for everyone.”

Mikkel Grene, Group CEO and Co-owner of Søstrene Grene, comments: "Gloucester Quays is another important step in our ongoing UK expansion. Opening this autumn, the store reinforces our commitment to bringing accessible, design-led shopping to more communities, combining Scandinavian style with everyday affordability for a wide range of customers."
This latest signing comes after a strong summer for Gloucester Quays, where retail sales have risen by 2.7% compared with July last year, and restaurant sales have increased by 3.8% compared with July of the previous year.
