St James Quarter celebrates Curated Makers’ Edinburgh debut

St James Quarter has welcomed the arrival of Curated Makers, an award-winning retail concept that champions independent makers and small businesses. The 1,300 sq ft pop-up has joined Level 3’s line-up of aspirational brands and is open to visitors throughout the golden quarter.

The first standalone store of its kind in Edinburgh, the pop-up showcases the work of over 50 small businesses and regional creatives, featuring products from hand-poured candles and original artwork to unique gifts and artisan treats ahead of the festive season. Among the makers featured are Edinburgh’s own artisans, including artists Susie Wright, Sally J Fisher and Juniper Fox Designs, handmade scents from The Edinburgh Candlemaker Co and embroidery kits from Paraffle.

The vibrant creative hub emphasises the importance of connecting independent artisans with major retail destinations. Their pop-up at St James Quarter runs until 4th January 2026 and provides a community-based shopping experience to complement the existing retail and leisure offer.

Anne Ledgerwood, Estate Director for St James Quarter, commented: “The arrival of Curated Makers offers a unique shopping experience for our visitors, who can enjoy the best of local talent amongst the iconic brands for which we are known. We are pleased to further diversify our tenant mix and to reinforce St James Quarter’s position as Edinburgh’s prime retail and leisure destination.”

Megan Jones, Founder of Curated Makers, added: “We are incredibly proud to collaborate with such as prestigious shopping centre as St James Quarter and to bring the Curated Makers brand to Edinburgh for the very first time. This partnership is about creating opportunity, showcasing incredible talent, and celebrating the small businesses that make our communities so special. We welcome Edinburgh shoppers to discover the joy of shopping small with us.”

The opening of Curated Makers follows the recent announcement of F&B brands investing in the prime destination, with the opening of the highly anticipated Nespresso and Pret A Manger.
