Smells like summer: Byredo launches first standalone store outside of London at Victoria Leeds

Victoria Leeds, owned and operated by Redical, has announced that luxury lifestyle brand, BYREDO, has opened its first location outside of London within the United Kingdom, at the destination’s Victoria Quarter.

BYREDO’s northern flagship spans 2,154 sq ft across a special composition of two distinct areas. The main space showcases BYREDO’s core categories, fragrance, body care, and candles, within a Brutalist-inspired environment featuring mineral surfaces, monolithic forms, and calibrated lighting.

The second, more intimate room is home to BYREDO’s make-up collection, displayed alongside a refined selection from the Byproduct range, a continuation of the brand’s design ethos through objects that bridge utility and emotion. Spanning from woven blankets to pieces from the Kantha leather goods collection, this edit reflects BYREDO’s commitment to material expression, cultural dialogue, and tactile storytelling.

Following the brand’s success as a concession within Victoria Leeds’ Harvey Nichols, BYREDO complements Victoria Leeds’ already established self-care line-up,  joining luxury skincare brand, Aesop’s northern flagship, in Victoria Quarter.

Rachel Bradburn, Leasing Director at Victoria Leeds, commented: “Health and beauty as a category performs exceptionally well at Victoria Leeds. Our premium mix of brands has fostered an elevated retail experience, in which BYREDO fits in seamlessly. The brand’s first standalone store outside of the capital adds yet another point of difference to the destination, further establishing Victoria Quarter as the go-to premier location for luxury names in beauty, fashion, and more.”

BYREDO is the latest brand to launch its northern debut at Victoria Leeds, joining Nobody’s Child and TUMI’s first stores in the north, both opening their doors last month.

Lunson Mitchenall and Central Retail acted for Victoria Leeds.
