St James Quarter celebrates raft of F&B investment from trio of leading operators
St James Quarter has announced that three market-leading F&B brands have invested in the prime destination. itsu, the popular healthy fast-food restaurant, has re-opened at the destination, and will be joined by Black Sheep Coffee and Pret A Manger.
itsu has relaunched as a company-run restaurant, the site having previously been a franchisee. Trading from 2,000 sq ft, itsu will offer its signature sushi, rice and noodle bowls, and range of Asian salads and snacks from its location on Register Square.
Black Sheep Coffee has signed for a second location on level 1 and will provide its signature specialty-grade 100% Robusta coffee, adding a further option to the Quarter’s line-up of café operators. Also on offer will be its selection of Norwegian waffles, bagels, toasties and açaí bowls, together with its all-new range of matcha products.
Completing the trio of signings further diversifying St James Quarter’s grab-and-go offer is Pret A Manger, with the brand opening in a 3,000 sq ft flagship location on level 3, overlooking Multrees Walk. Pret will provide its full range at St James Quarter.
Ed Corrigan, St James Quarter, commented: “Sitting in the heart of Edinburgh, it is crucial that St James Quarter provides a well-rounded blend of brands to provide visitors with all they need and want. This latest investment from itsu, Black Sheep Coffee and Pret does just that, adding three well-known high street names alongside our existing unique line-up of F&B brands in response to sustained consumer demand.”
Louise Murray, General Manager of itsu St James Quarter added: “The Itsu team at St James are delighted to be reopening the shop. Almost all our team have come back and we look forward to seeing our customers again when we open next month.”
The latest F&B additions follow the signing of OAKBERRY, the world-leading Açai brand, which will be serving its selection of organic açai bowls from a kiosk on Leith Street from the summer. St James Quarter has one of the largest concentrations of F&B brands in Edinburgh, providing visitors with everything from grab-and-go to fine dining and the unique Bonnie and Wild Scottish marketplace and foodhall.
